You are prepared to put another person and their needs before your own.
You are prepared to be available whenever and wherever you may be called on.
You can lift up another person even when you feel exhausted or like life is too much.
You can be transparently open with the other person…. no secrets of any kind.
You can allow someone into your inner sanctum that place where only you reside.
You can be trusted to do and be everything you possibly can be and then some.
You can want to protect another person with a ferocity that scares even yourself.
You can love another person with a love that is unlike any other.
You can put another person’s happiness before your own.
You can control yourself and your emotions when faced with the meltdown and irrational behavior of another person.
You can lead and guide not to gain something for yourself but because it’s best for another person.
You can accept another person in totality not the bits that you think you want.
You are prepared to talk about any and every thing without exception.
Unless and until you can say you are prepared to do every one of these things and so much more before you even consider getting naked with the other person…. “don’t do this!”
